Biography:
Sean P. Sheppard grew up in Toms River, New Jersey until he moved to Florida in 1991 to attend law school. He is a graduate of Stockton State College with a B.S. in Criminal Justice. Upon moving to South Florida, he attended Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center, where he earned a Juris Doctor degree. While at Nova Southeastern University, he was a member of the Law Review and worked in the Broward County Public Defender’s Office.
After receiving his law degree, Mr. Sheppard spent four and one-half years as a Judge Advocate General (JAG) in the United States Navy, serving as both a Legal Assistance Attorney and Criminal Defense Attorney. Prior to his leaving the Navy, he was acting Senior Defense Counsel in the Jacksonville Naval Legal Service Office (NLSO).
Mr. Sheppard began private practice in 1999 in North Florida, with a focus on real estate litigation, general civil litigation, commercial litigation and family law. He is admitted to practice in Florida, New York and New Jersey, as well as the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida.
Sean and his wife Holly live in St. Augustine Beach with their two sons, two dogs and two cats. Sean and Holly are both partners of Sheppard & Sheppard, P.A., Attorneys at Law.
